Ongoing projects and developments at the European level arising from the Comenius Regio Project EUR-EMSET:

1. The Project Wiki has a wealth of information, experience, curriculum materials and classroom practice, in textual form, still image and video formats. This constitutes the main source of information on the project.


2. Materials from the project are uploaded to the European Shared Treasure website.

3. Comenius Bilateral Partnership (2010 - 12) - Wyedean School and Rönnbyskolan:
Creating a European dialogue for the future - in Maths, Science and Environmental Science.
4. Comenius Multilateral Partnership (2011 - 13) - St Paul's COE Primary School, Gloucester and Barkaröskolan:
Looking after our world: young Europeans build a sustainable future

7 Student teacher exchange - University of Gloucestershire and Mälardalen University.
Two student teachers from Mälardalen carried out two weeks' teaching practice at Wyedean School in March 2011
Two student teachers from University of Gloucestershire carried out a week's teaching practice in Västerås (see 'Student Teacher Experience'). Plans are in place for this exchange to continue from 2012. A research project will be established to learn from the experience of student teachers and of host institutions.

8 Business education co-operation and enterprise education: Professional development visit by Andy Robertson (Forest Education Business Partnership) and Simon Kettle ( Gloucestershire STEMworks) to Västerås has established a pattern for future co-operation between Gloucestershire and Västerås in this area. Plans will be established in autumn 2011 for further exchanges of best practice in this crucial area.

9.Co-operation will beestablished between schools involved in Project EUR-EMSET and the S-TEAM Project (see Project Research). Developments led by the FLOD Project and the Swedish NTA will also be taken into account in this respect.

10. The Swedish partner has produced a booklet detailing project conclusions and relevant best practice.

11. Colleagues in Västerås have also – again somewhat ironically – been motivated by their visits to Gloucestershire to set up a local professional development facility for teachers of science and maths, inspired by the Gloucestershire professional development centre at Hucclecote, which (like the Wilderness Centre) actually closed its doors in July of 2011.
